SENIOR CLASS GRADING
Ages: Teens & Adults
Date: DEC Sat 2nd
Venue: Nimbin Central School MPU hall
Time: 3pm -5.30pm (arrive 2.40pm to warm up)
Certificates & belts: 5.30-6pm
Photos: 6-6.15pm
Dinner: 6.15-7pm Celebratory end-of-year pizza dinner. Bring $10pp
Grading Fee: $25pp
All karateka (students) are to stay and watch/ take part in the gradings & kumité for all students.
BRING: Your spirit! Registration card with cash payment inside, Protective gear, Water bottle, Pizza money.
WEAR: Full dogi (JACKET with BADGE, pants, belt), NO jewellery or bands, hair off face, all nails cut.
FAMILIES: Please stay for the grading and support your family member/s, as well as the other students if at all possible
PHOTOS: If you do not want photos taken please let Sensei know by text message beforehand.

SHODAN GRADING (Black Belt)
Date: DEC Sat 16th
Venue: Sensei’s home (on the land).
Camping/ bedding is available for the night before.
Time: 8am-11.30am including warm-up
Certificates & belts: 11.30am-12pm
Photos: 12-12.15pm
Lunch: 12.15pn onwards. Celebratory end-of-year lunch will be provided (vegan Indian curry). Bring a bowl.
Grading Fee: $50
BRING: Your spirit! Sleeping bag, pillow & camp mattress. Registration card with payment inside, ALL protective gear, Jo & Chi ishi if you can, Water bottle, Lunch. Breakfast (muesli) will be provided.
WEAR: Full dogi (JACKET with BADGE, pants, belt), NO jewellery or bands, hair off face, all nails cut.
FAMILIES: This is a karateka only event (no observers). Please join us at 11.30am for the ceremony and then for lunch to hear the stories!

Ages: 6-12 years

Venue: Nimbin Central School MPU hall
Time: 9am-11.30am (arrive 8.45am for warm up)
Certificates & belts: 11.30am-12pm
Photos: 12-12.15pm
Lunch: 12.15-1pm Celebratory end-of-year lunch (BYO)
Grading Fee: $20pp
9th-8th Kyu: finish by 10am (below Yellow belt)
7th-6th Kyu: finish by 11am (below Green belt)
5th-3rd Kyu: finish 11.30am (below Black belt)
BRING: Your spirit! Registration card with cash payment inside, Sparring mitts, Water bottle, Lunch.
WEAR: Full dogi (JACKET with BADGE, pants, belt), NO jewellery or bands, hair off face, all nails cut.
FAMILIES: Please stay and support both your child, and the higher grades if possible as this is a rare opportunity for the younger ones to see where they are headed.
